# Grok Bot with DG1
Grok Bot is an AI teammate that works on its own cloud computer – it can open websites, click through apps and complete tasks for you, even when your laptop is closed. With the ready-made DG1 Admin bot, you can put Grok Bot to work in your DG1 Admin panel and let it help you with products, orders, customers, bookings, marketing, your website and settings – simply by telling it what you need in plain language.

# What you need
Before you start, make sure you have the following:
- A DG1 account with access to the DG1 Admin panel. Grok Bot signs in with your own DG1 login, so it can do exactly what your DG1 user can do – nothing more.
- A Grok Bot subscription. Grok Bot is included with every paid individual Cursor plan and the Cursor Teams plan. You can also link an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy subscription. Usage is included on a weekly basis.
- The Grok Bot app on one of the supported devices:
- Desktop: macOS (Apple silicon or Intel), Windows (x64 or Arm64) or Linux (x64 or Arm64)
- Mobile: iPhone, iPad or Android
Note
Grok Bot is a third-party service and is billed separately from your DG1 subscription. Using Grok Bot does not change your DG1 package.
# Step 1: Install Grok Bot and sign in
- Go to x.ai/bot (opens new window) and download the app for your computer.
- Install and open Grok Bot.
- On the welcome screen, choose Sign in and complete the sign-in in the browser window that opens. Then return to the Grok Bot app.
- If your access comes from a SuperGrok subscription, link it when the app asks you to, or go to Settings → Usage & Billing and choose Get Access with Grok.
If you prefer to use your phone, the same bots are also available in the Grok Bot mobile app.
# Step 2: Add the DG1 Admin bot
DG1 Admin is a ready-made bot that already knows its way around the DG1 Admin panel. Instead of creating a bot from scratch, you add a copy of it to your Grok Bot account.
- Open the DG1 Admin bot page: x.ai/bot/_ax4LmP0WeHz09cVh2ece (opens new window). You can find more information about the bot on grokbotwiki.com (opens new window).
- Preview the bot and add it to your Grok Bot account.
- Accept the third-party bot terms when asked.
- DG1 Admin now appears among your bots in the Grok Bot app.
When you add the bot, its profile, settings, enabled skills, routines and avatar are copied to your account. The creator's computer, logins, conversations and memory are not copied – the bot works only with your own computer and your own DG1 login.
Before you start using it
Open the bot and check its skills and routines first. If a routine is set to run on a schedule you didn't choose, pause it until you are ready.
# Step 3: Connect your DG1 account
Grok Bot works in DG1 the same way you do – through the DG1 Admin panel in a browser on its cloud computer. To give it access, sign in to DG1 once:
- Open a conversation with DG1 Admin and write, for example: "Open my DG1 Admin and sign in."
- When the bot reaches the login page, it will ask you for help. Choose Take over on the request in the conversation.
- Enter your DG1 email and password yourself (and a verification code, if requested).
- Choose I'm done to hand control back to the bot.
Your DG1 session stays on your Grok Bot computer, so you don't have to sign in again for every task. If DG1 asks for verification again later, the bot will pause and ask you to take over.
Keep your password safe
Never type your DG1 password or verification codes into the chat. Always enter them yourself using Take over.
# Step 4: Decide what needs your approval
Grok Bot can stop and ask before it does something important. We recommend that you set this up before the first real task.
- In the Grok Bot app, go to Settings → General → Auto-review.
- Add Ask first rules for actions that should always wait for you, for example:
- publishing or deleting pages, blog posts or products,
- changing prices or stock,
- sending newsletters, push notifications or campaigns,
- changing settings or payment options in DG1.
- Keep rules short and specific. If two rules conflict, Ask first always wins.
When the bot needs your approval, the conversation shows exactly what it wants to do. You can choose:
- Allow once – the bot continues with this action only.
- Always allow – the bot continues and can save a rule for similar actions.
- Deny – the action is blocked.
Note
You can also add lasting instructions to the bot's description, for example "Never delete products or orders" or "Always save changes as drafts".
# Step 5: Give DG1 Admin its first task
Simply describe what you need. The more specific you are, the better the result. A good task includes:
- Outcome – what should be finished,
- Where – which part of DG1 it concerns (products, orders, blog …),
- Limits – what the bot must not do or must ask about first,
- Result – what it should report back when it's done.
We recommend that you start with a small task, such as a report that doesn't change anything, and check the result before giving the bot bigger jobs.
# Prompt examples
Products, orders and customers
- "Check today's new orders in DG1 and send me a short summary with the order numbers, totals and any orders that are still unpaid."
- "Lower the prices of all products in the Summer collection category by 10 %. Before saving, show me a list of old and new prices for approval."
- "Find products without a description and list them for me. Don't change anything."
Booking
- "List all reservations for this week and tell me which days are almost fully booked."
- "Check if there are any unconfirmed bookings from yesterday and list them."

# What DG1 Admin can help you with
| Area | Examples of tasks |
|---|---|
| Products | Update product data, descriptions and prices, find incomplete products |
| Orders | Review new orders, prepare daily summaries, find orders that need attention |
| Customers | Look up customers, keep customer records up to date |
| Booking | Check reservations and availability |
| Marketing | Prepare newsletters, campaigns and push notifications |
| WebCMS | Edit pages, blog posts and other website content |
| Settings | Help with configuring your DG1 account step by step |
Note
The bot can only access what your DG1 user can access. If a feature is not part of your DG1 package, the bot can't use it either.
# Repeating tasks with skills and routines
If you give the bot the same task often, you can save it and let it run automatically.
- Skill – after the bot completes a task well, ask it to save the process as a skill. Next time, type
/in the message field to use it. - Routine – ask the bot to run a task on a schedule, for example: "Every weekday at 8:00, send me a summary of yesterday's orders and bookings." Confirm the schedule, time zone and what needs your approval.
To see or pause routines, open DG1 Admin, choose View conversation details and open Routines.
Routines run on their own
Routines keep running even when your app or computer is closed. Make sure that any routine that changes content, prices or sends messages has Ask first rules in place.
# Disconnecting DG1
If you no longer want Grok Bot to work in your DG1 account:
- Ask the bot to sign out of DG1 Admin, or sign out yourself using Take over.
- Pause or delete the DG1 Admin routines.
- If you want to remove the bot completely, delete it in the Grok Bot app.
Note
Deleting a bot does not delete browser sessions on your Grok Bot computer. Always sign out of DG1 first, before you delete the bot.
# Troubleshooting
The bot asks me to sign in again
DG1 or your browser session may have expired. Choose Take over, sign in to DG1 and choose I'm done.
The bot can't find a feature in DG1
Check that the feature is included in your DG1 package and that your DG1 user has access to it. You can also tell the bot exactly where to find it, for example "Go to Shop → Products".
The bot stopped and is waiting
The bot is probably waiting for your approval or for you to take over. Open the conversation and choose Allow once, Deny or Take over.
I have reached my usage limit
Grok Bot usage is included in your subscription and resets weekly. You can check your usage and billing in the Settings of the Grok Bot app.
Who do I contact for help?
For questions about your DG1 account, contact DG1 support. For questions about the Grok Bot app, subscriptions and billing, see the Grok Bot documentation (opens new window).
